Every dollar we spend in dues nets each of us close to $13 in value we would not get as a comparable non-union worker. Dues are the symbolic lifeblood of the workers' struggle to create a better world and we only get what we put in. In the end, our power is not limited as much by the boss as it is by our own willingness to invest in our own organization to strengthen it to fight.
