Friends and comrades,
In this week’s Dispatch, we are covering contract detail updates, our April GMM, the AFL Day of Protest, a Regional educational opportunity, and upcoming committee meetings.
Two things before getting to that. First, We Together Strong Community is looking for volunteers to help collect donations in the depots for their 6th anniversary. If you are interested in volunteering in order to set up something in your facility, please reach out at wetogetherab@gmail.com. For more information about other ways you can contribute, click HERE.
Second, the latest issue of the InsideOut has arrived. We’ll get them divided up and distributed as soon as possible. For now, you can find a digital copy on our Local website HERE.
Solidarity,
Kyle Turner, Communications Officer

Contract Detail Updates
We have received two updates from the National office regarding contract details, for both Rural and Urban bargaining units.
- Groups 3 and 4, Urban: Maintained rights to job security and protection against contracting out, as well as improvements in overtime processes; MAM-10 and MAM-11 will remain separate classifications; voluntary transfers to the non-technical maintenance position of ELE-3; and Group 4 will also have an increase in standby payments. For more details, click HERE.
- RSMC Pension Improvements: All regular hours paid will be pensionable, not just scheduled hours; Permanent Relief Employees will become Permanent Flex Employees and all straight-time hours up to 40-hours per week will be pensionable; and there will be more 40-hour routes, which will raise pension benefits for RSMCs during their final five years of service.
