Friends and comrades,
In this week’s Dispatch, we are covering contract details, the April GMM, We Together Strong Community 6th Anniversary, upcoming education opportunities, and upcoming committee meetings.
Before getting to that, we did have to change a date on our vote schedule and we will get that information on the website as soon as it’s finalized, and we will also get an updated poster sent out for the union boards. We will also get a more detailed breakdown of the vote times for those locations with multiple hours up on the website and sent out for the bulletin boards.
Solidarity,
Kyle Turner, Communications Officer

Contract Details Update
The most recent update from the National office covers temporary workers covered by the Urban agreement. This bulletin covers the rights of temporary workers to bid into the proposed Part-Time Unstructured (PTU) and Parcel Delivery Part Time (PD PT) positions. The bulletin continues: PTU and PD PTs will be eligible for Defined Benefit Pension Plan, with eligibility starting from the first day becoming permanent. Current temps will be eligible for benefits as soon as they become permanent, while future temps will have to wait 6-months to become eligible. PTUs and PD PTs will also have guaranteed weekly hours and will be protected by Article 53 Job Security. To read the full bulletin, click HERE.
