Negotiations Update

On Monday, our union ended its over-time ban and escalated our strike action to a flyer ban. There were also rallies at MP offices on that same day. To read the full bulletin, click HERE.

CTV published an article on the first day of our flyer ban. A spokesperson from the Corporation said they were “disappointed” in the ban and that our union was impacting thousands of Canadian businesses and creating further uncertainty for the post office. To hear our negotiator Jim Gallant respond to these concerns, you can find the full article HERE.

Today, our union finally heard back from the Corporation about the offers we presented 4-weeks ago. We are expecting offers for both bargaining units next week. To read the full bulletin, click HERE.

Upcoming Committee Meetings

Since the last Dispatch, there have been some updates to the committee meetings. The next Social Committee meeting is postponed with a future date to be determined. The next Women’s Committee meeting is being pushed back to September 25th at 5:30 pm with the location to be determined.

There will also be an Education Committee meeting on Tuesday, September 23rd at 7 pm via Zoom. For details about how to attend that meeting and all the others, click HERE.
