Negotiations/Voting Update
The forced vote on the Corporation’s final offer is well underway and there are two days left to vote if you haven’t already — you have until August 1st and 3 pm MST. As of Tuesday, 69% of Urban and 71.4% of RSMCs have voted.
If you are having problems voting, the advice is to contact Simply Voting at 888-507-9875. Our union is also asking that you report all issues to feedback@cupw-sttp.org. To read the full bulletin, click HERE.
Our union has also released a bulletin of frequently asked questions. It covers questions like what will happen if we reject the offer, if the Corporation can afford for us to reject the offer, and many other questions. To read that bulletin, click HERE.

Women’s Equinox
The Women’s Equinox has been planned for the weekend of September 12-14th, 2025. This event is taking place just outside of Red Deer at Camp LG Barnes on Gull Lake (40421 Range Rd 10, Gull Lake, AB T0C 0J0).
The Local Women’s Committee is able to send 20 members from Edmonton. Cost per member is $20, even for members outside of Edmonton and Calgary. This event is a great opportunity to learn more about women’s health in a warm and welcoming environment with your fellow union sisters and cousins. More details to follow.
If you have questions or concerns, you can contact the Committee at Womenof730@gmail.com.

Tubing on the Pembina River Postponement
The weather has not been cooperating and the tubing on the Pembina River event has been postponed until August 9th. For the latest information, check the website post HERE.

EDLC Labour Day BBQ
The 34th Annual EDLC Labour Day BBQ is happening on September 1st from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm at Giovanni Caboto Park (9425 109A Ave NW). If you would like to volunteer for the event, click HERE. To see the poster from the EDLC, click HERE.
