Friends and comrades,
We’re still waiting for news about the date of the forced contract vote, but for now the information we do have to share in this week’s Dispatch includes updating your email address for that vote, the July GMM, a website update, and a notice about SAP not being available.
Solidarity,
Kyle Turner, Communications Officer

Negotiations Update
While we still wait for further details about the forced contract vote, all we currently have to work with is that you need to make sure the Canadian Industrial Relations Board has your most up-to-date email address.
You can update your email address here: https://vote.information-cpggpc.ca/
Members have reported a number of issues while trying to do this. Our National Office is working to address these issues. You can read that bulletin HERE.
It has been a stressful process, but we are encouraging you to participate in it. Our National Executive and the Edmonton Local Executive are also encouraging all members to vote NO. To see the growing list of reasons why you should vote NO, click HERE.

July GMM
Our next GMM is on Saturday, July 5th at 10 am. This is a hybrid meeting, so you can attend in person at the union hall (18121 107 Ave NW) or online via Zoom. If you wish to attend online, the deadline to register is July 4thby noon. For more information and to register to attend online, click HERE.
The position of Health & Safety Officer is up for a floor election at the July GMM. If you are interested in running for this position, you can check our Local By-Laws HERE to see if you meet the requirements.

Website Update
Coming out of suggestions from the recent Advanced Shop Steward class, we are going to do our best to create bulletins to summarize what happened in our consultations with management. This also comes out of a concern that workers are often told, “We consulted with your union and your union agreed to this,” when that is not an accurate description of what happened.
Today, we started off with a consultation about an upcoming flyer, but we also took the opportunity to ask questions about the staffing situation in Wetaskiwin. You can find this on our website by clicking New & Events and then Consultations (or by clicking HERE).

SAP is Down
We have received notification from our Regional office that employee access to Corporation’s SAP has been suspended until further notice. In the meantime, our Regional office is encouraging everyone to manually keep track of their hours worked and any leave that is taken just to be safe.
