Local Dispatch (25/05/28)

Friends and comrades,

In this week’s Dispatch, we are covering the most recent negotiations update, the Hands Off My Post Office! rally happening this Saturday, the June GMM, and an upcoming committee meeting.

We are currently on Day 6 of our overtime ban. For more information on what that means and what that might look like for you, see the National bulletin HERE. For now, the Corporation is proceeding as though our collective agreements are still in place. This can change at any time and if anything does change, we will let you know through the text service and email list as quickly as possible (to sign up for those, click HERE).

Solidarity,

Kyle Turner, Communications Officer

Negotiations Update

Today, the Corporation presented our negotiators with what it has called its “best” and “final” offers. According to the latest bulletin from our National office, while the Corporation insists that this new offer reflects our demands from our May 25th proposal, there are almost no changes from the Corporation’s May 21st offer.

While the Corporation has called this the final offer, National President Jan Simpson says this fight is far from over.
