CUPW Document: Canada Post and the Exclusive Privilege
There are no updates on negotiations or challenges to the CIRB, but our union did publish a document called Canada Post and the Exclusive Privilege, which outlines the importance of Canada Post maintaining its exclusive right to deliver mail as well as the importance of not deregulating the post office.
This document covers what a deregulated post office would look like in Canada, including increases in costs for stamps, loss or degradation of service in less-profitable rural areas, and loss of jobs, among other impacts. You can read the full document
HERE.

Prairie School for Union Women
This year's Prairie School for Union Women (PSUW) will be taking place in Regina, Saskatchewan, from June 8th to 12th. The PSUW offers trade union women an intensive four days of learning and sharing in a supportive environment. The goals of the school are to develop women’s personal and leadership skills and to build solidarity among women workers.
