It has come to the attention of the Local that there have been double deductions on some employees pay for basic life insurance plan premiums and disability insurance premiums.

These double deductions appear to have taken place on pay period 27 of 2024 and pay period 2 of 2025.

There has also been an increase on premiums for all benefits without proper notice.

We are in the process of submitting an et al. grievance for the Edmonton Local regarding this and we will be escalating it with Regional CUPW.

Please review your paystubs and if you find that you too have been double deducted for basic life and disability insurance, submit your paystubs to 5th Vice-President Rachel Lofranco at auxiliary730@gmail.com or Grievance@cupwedm.net so we can add you to our Local CUPW Edmonton grievance.
