In this week's dispatch, we are covering a call-out for picket captains, the most recent negotiations update from National, our Local strike merchandise graphic design contest, our April GMM, and the Local Executive election.

If you are interested in volunteering to be a picket captain during a strike action -- if we get to that point! -- please reach out to the President's office (union@cupwedm.net) with your name and work location.

The most recent negotiations update from our National Office covers the employer's proposal that we switch to a "flex benefits plan" and a Health Spending Account. The contest to design a graphic for strike merchandise is ongoing. The deadline is April 19th at 5 pm. For further information, you can check out the website post HERE. If you have any further questions, you can contact the Communications Committee at communications730@gmail.com.

Our next GMM is April 6th  at 6 pm. The time is changed from our usual 10 am start to allow for the final day of voting in our Executive Election. For more information on the GMM, see our website post HERE.

If you work outside of Edmonton, St. Albert, and Sherwood Park, you will be receiving mail-in ballots. Please check with your Shop Stewards. Ballots must be returned by April 5th. There will be one more chance to vote before the GMM, from 11 am until 5 pm on April 6th.
