In this week's Dispatch, we'll be covering the CSU 52 strike, Local Executive elections, committee meetings, and an upcoming Welcome to CUPW course.

CSU 52 Strike
CSU 52 served strike notice for both City of Edmonton and Edmonton Public Library members on Monday, March 11th, at 11 am. If a resolution is not reached between now and the end of the 72-hour strike notice period, the strike will begin at 11 am on Thursday, March 14th.

Local Executive Elections
There will be an election for the position of President. There will be an advanced poll on March 20th at the union office (18121 107 Ave NW) from 7 am until 7 pm. Work locations outside of Edmonton, Sherwood Park, and St. Albert will be provided with mail-in ballots. The Elections Committee will mail these out on March 22nd, and we are encouraging you to follow up about these ballots with your Shop Steward. Ballots must be received by April 5th.

Welcome to CUPW Course
Applications are now being accepted for the Welcome to CUPW course. This course will be happening at the Nisku Inn & Conference Centre. Deadline to apply is April 4th at 4 pm. For more information and for a digital application, click HERE.
