February GMM
Our first GMM of the new year is on February 3rd at 10 am. This is a hybrid meeting, so you can attend in person at our union office (18121 107 Ave) or online via Zoom. If you wish to attend online, the deadline to register is February 2nd at noon. For the agenda, to register to attend online, and for further information, please see this website post.
Local Educational Opportunities
There are a number of local educational opportunities in the next two months, including RSMC Know Your Rights, Basic Shop Steward, and Taking Back Our Workfloor. For more information and to apply for these courses, see our website post HERE.
Upcoming Social Events
Just a reminder that our Local's Social Committee has two upcoming social events planned. There is a board games day scheduled for Sunday, January 28th at 11 am at our Local office (18121 107 ave). Bring a board game and some snacks. There will also be a Bollywood movie night on Saturday, February 24th at 7 pm. The Social Committee will provide popcorn and drinks for both of these events.
Local Elections
A number of Local Executive positions are up for election this year. For more information about the positions and requirements, please see this past Local Dispatch. Voting is open to all members in good standing, so if you've paid $5 and filled out the form, you can vote.
