All members in good standing are invited to apply for any course they have not participated in before. Any member participating in these courses will be reimbursed for any scheduled CPC day(s) of work they miss. Courses scheduled to be at the CUPW 730 office** are subject to change, including cancellation, depending on shifting pandemic public health guidelines.

In order for this application to be considered, all requested info must be provided, and the questionnaire fully answered. Please be sure to include the full name of the course you are applying for as well well as what date preferences you have (if the course offers multiple dates). One application must be filled out for each different course you hope to attend.

January 30-31st, 2023, 8 am-4 pm @ CUPW 730 Office**
This 3 day course was designed to teach RSMCs of their rights. It was developed by RSMCs and taught by RSMCs for RSMCs. By the end of this course, you will have a basic understanding of your Schedule As as well as your rights under the Collective Agreement and the Canada Labour Code.

February 14th-16th, 2024, 8am-4pm @ CUPW 730 Office**
This 3-day course gives members the confidence to further empower themselves and help uphold the rights of their co-workers. Participants will learn about the many different roles a steward plays, how to navigate disciplinary meetings with management, and how to properly support the grievance procedure as well as the efforts of work floor activists.

March 7th, 2024, 8am-4pm @ CUPW 730 Office**
A union is only as powerful as it’s members are involved and willing to assert their collective power! This 1-day course gets back to the grassroots organizing that helped unions change the world for the better so long ago. Participants will be trained on how to gather allies, as well as successfully build, and carry out, a work floor job action.
