The Edmonton Local is proud to offer its own Local educational opportunities. If you wish to apply for a course, please read the information carefully. Applications can be found on our union bulletin boards or at the office, but you can also download a digital application. Basic Shop Steward (3-Day)

November 18th-20th, 9 am until 5 pm, at the union hall (18121 107 Ave NW)

This 3-day course gives members the confidence to further empower themselves and help uphold the rights of their co-workers. Participants will learn about the many different roles a steward plays, how to navigate disciplinary meetings with management, and how to properly support the grievance procedure as well as the efforts of work floor activists.

Deadline: Applications must be received by the Local Office or emailed to Educate730@gmail.com by 5pm on Friday, November 7th.
