Local Dispatch (26/05/05)

Friends and comrades,

In this week’s Dispatch, we are covering resolution writing drop-in sessions, the 6th anniversary celebration of We Together Strong Community, a list of upcoming social events, and some upcoming committee meetings.

Before getting to that, the contract/strike votes do continue in the Local. You can find the most up-to-date schedule on the website HERE. Some votes had to be rescheduled because of the weather. Those dates and locations are still being finalized, but we will get those details on the website as soon as we have them.

Solidarity,

Kyle Turner, Communications Officer

Resolution Writing Drop-In Sessions

Our CUPW Regional Conference and National Convention will be happening before you know it and this is where we decide the policies of our union. We do this through writing resolutions and presenting them at a General Membership Meeting to be voted on.

If you’re interested in writing a resolution but you think you might need some help, our Local is offering 3 drop-in sessions. These sessions are happening at the union office (18121 107 Ave NW) and each session is approximately 2-hours. No registration is required and there are no book offs to attend.

  • Wednesday, May 6th at 8:30 am
  • Thursday, May 21st at 6 pm
  • Saturday, May 30th at 10 am
