Friends and comrades,
This week’s Dispatch is a shorter one, where we are covering negotiations updates and the October GMM.
Before getting to that, there seems to have been an increase in 24-hour notices of investigation. If you receive one of these notices, please contact a Shop Steward or get in touch with the Local office so a Shop Steward can be arranged to attend with you and make sure your rights are being protected.
Solidarity,
Kyle Turner, Communications Officer

Negotiations Update
As of this moment, we have received no further details about the offers that the Corporation is going to be giving us. But we do have two bits of related news.
First, our union is preparing for the Mandate Review of Canada Post, which is currently scheduled to happen between October and March, and we are now seeking applicants for Campaign Coordinator positions. These positions include working in communities to preserve the post office but also working to make sure this Mandate Review is as public as possible.
To read the full description of the Campaign Coordinator position, click HERE. To apply for that position, click HERE.
Second, it seems Minister Lightbound is providing an update on the future of Canada Post on Thursday, September 25th at 12:45 pm EST. For details about this event, click HERE. Our union has also released a bulletin about this announcement and how the Corporation has been quiet. To read that bulletin, click HERE.

October GMM
Our next GMM is scheduled for Saturday, October 4th at 10 am. It is a hybrid meeting, so you can attend in person (18121 107 Ave NW) or online via Zoom. Deadline to register to attend online is Friday, October 3rd at noon. For more information, click HERE.
