Local Dispatch (24/07/24)

Friends and comrades,

In this week's Dispatch, we are covering the National Day of Action, the September GMM, the Women's Committee Equinox and Workplace Harassment Survey, the final chance to order a Support the Negotiations Committee shirt through our Local, and the availability of the latest version of our CUPW National Constitution.

From this, there are two things I'd like to highlight. First, the September GMM is going to be in-person only. Second, the Women's Committee is officially launching its workplace harassment survey. If you have or haven't witnessed any kind of harassment or bullying in the workplace, you are welcome to fill out the survey and help the Women's Committee gather data and try to find solutions to make our workplaces safer.

In solidarity,

Kyle Turner, Communications Officer

September GMM

Our next GMM will be happening on Saturday, September 7th at 10 am. This GMM is going to be in-person only at the Rundle Family Centre in Rundle Park (2909 113 Ave).

This GMM is going to be immediately followed with a family-friendly strike preparation event. There will be food trucks and children's activities, and strike preparation activities. After this, there will be a town hall meeting with the latest updates from the negotiations and strike plans. It will be a great time to ask questions and give feedback.
