We've got a gigantic update for you today! Thanks in advance for taking the time to stay informed on all the important news & happenings of our local. Our special GMM for Urban negotiation demand resolutions will be held this Sat, Mar 13, 11am -- please join us to explore all the ways we can improve our jobs. C19 local Exec election rules have been finalized to guarantee the safety of all members, and the candidates. We mark the passing of lifelong union activist and past-President, Bill MacDonald. The latest newsletter details why Amazon is an existential threat to our jobs, and my President's report argues what it takes for unions to be successful in negotiation.

A special GMM will be held Saturday, March 13, 2021, 11am to focus exclusively on Urban negotiation demands. All our usual business was covered in our March 7 (Regular) GMM in addition to debating all 45 RSMC negotiation demand resolutions submitted. The March 13 GMM has its own registration form. There will be local elections for the positions of President and the 2nd Vice President (EMPP). Our Election and Executive committees presented their election rules to the March 7 GMM. Candidates, or their supporters, are not permitted to physically campaign in any facilities other than their own during this election. Our local will not risk any liability for the spread of C19, and we want to guarantee the safety of not only our members, but also the candidates. Anyone wishing to help any of the candidates are encouraged to make arrangements with them to hand out materials, or campaign within their own facility on the candidate’s behalf.
